Huimin Jing is a visiting scholar at Politecnico di Torino from March 2026 to March 2027, supported by the China Scholarship Council (CSC) under the International Joint Education Program for Innovative Talents in Mechanics and Advanced Manufacturing Technology. She received her Ph.D. in Geophysics from the Graduate University of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and is currently an Assistant Professor at the School of Mechanical Engineering and Mechanics, Ningbo University. She was a visiting scholar at the University of California, Los Angeles from February 2019 to March 2020. Her research interests cover computational mechanics, numerical simulation, and nonlinear analysis. Her current work focuses on mechanical behavior characterization and theoretical modeling of functionally graded materials, optimization of nonlinear numerical calculation methods for solid mechanics, and cross-disciplinary research between geophysics and mechanics.
