Luciano Demasi, PhD student

Christian Fagiano graduated in 2005 from the Polytechnic University of Turin, in Italy, where he earned a Master’s Degree in Aerospace Engineering. Then, he received his PhD degree in 2010 at the Aerospace Structures and Materials Department of the Technical University of Delft, in the Netherlands, on computational modeling of tow-placed composite laminates. Then, he obtained a postdoctoral position at the Laboratory of Mechanics and Technology of Cachan, in France, and his research activity concerned the meso-scale computational modeling of thermo structural woven composite materials. Since 2012 he has been working as research engineer at ONERA at the Composite Structures and Materials Department. His research activity is mainly on woven polymer matrix composites, and in particular (i) on multi-scale finite element modeling, (ii) on characterization and modeling of damage evolution under different loading conditions, and (iii) on design and computational modeling of structural parts.
